School Facilities

Art Room

Our Art Room is resourced to inspire students to bring together their ideas and individuality on to the canvas, giving learning in the room and allowing creativity to shine, the art room is about bringing the best out of each student.

ICT Room

The Information Communication Technology room is equipped with 40 computers, the room is air conditioned for a comfortable environment and has software packages for documents, presentations, spreadsheets, databases, web design, graphic design and publications. All computers have high speed broadband access and the latest in web browsing capabilities, students then have a full experience of technological benefits.

Library

The Library is open for all students to access, books range from further reading on each key stage to fiction and skills, the variety is suited to students to explore various pockets of information and accelerate their learning. We hold a book club where students can share their experience and understanding of what they have read.

Hall

The Hall is a large open area used for assembly, where weekly thoughts and achievements are shared with students. The hall is also used for Digital Video/Conferencing connecting to other Schools and places all over the world and a Drama room. Students have made creative illustrations of Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, and stories that are representative of real life experiences that we can all learn from.

Common Room

To allow a successful learning experience the Alyssa School has a common room, this is where students can socialise and relax in a supervised environment and allow their energy to recoup. The common room is a reward for student dedication and commitment, making them aware of the benefits of achieving high.
